Origin
NetStar Systems International was established by Ms. Lien Petruzzo. NetStar has provided services linked to Information Technology (IT) to the Federal Government, state governments, and private industry.
In founding the company, Ms. Petruzzo built on her degree in computer science and her experience as a programmer, program analyst, and technical team leader with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Systems Development Corporation (SDC), UNISYS Corporation, Planning Research Corporation (PRC), Northrop Grumman Corporation, and various Federal agencies.
NetStar's plans include moving toward Internet cyber security, green computing, Internet cloud computing, virtual infrastructural architecture and design, private and public cloud intergration, legacy systems and data migration, IT service management using industry-based practices, and virtual labs.
Client Base
NetStar has worked on IT projects with a variety of agencies since 2000. A brief sampler would include:

- U.S. O.N.I.—Sea Watch programs/Systems Development Corporation/Maritime Intelligence
- U.S. Patent & Trademark Office—automated patent systems
