The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (also known as DNI) is the head of the Intelligence Community (IC), in charge of overseeing and executing the National Security Program and acting as the chief advisor to the President, The National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council in intelligence matters concerning the national security of the United States. In participation with the Principal Deputy DNI (PDDNI) and with the help of Mission Managers and the Deputy Directors, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s primary objective is to effectively merge foreign, military and domestic intelligence in defense of United States’ territories and interests worldwide.
The Global Maritime & Air Intelligence Integration is an organization belonging to the ODNI, providing additional defense support with a mission of predicting and preventing catastrophic maritime and air attacks on the United States Homeland, United States persons, and U.S. interests abroad.
